VALLEY CENTER, Kan. — Ruth Arline Nulph, 88, of Valley Center, Kan., formerly of Forum, died Aug. 22, 2011, at the Haysville Healthcare Center in Haysville, Kan. She was born July 9, 1923, in Augusta, Kan., to Clinton Fisk and Fanny Margaret Stroud Ham.

She was a member of the Valley Center Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Ronald "Herb" Nulph and wife Joyce of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Carole McGuire and husband Steve of Lawton, Okla., and Gaye Reusser and husband Randy of Valley Center, Kan.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery in Forum.

Ruth Arline Nulph, 88, of Valley Center, Kansas, formerly of Forum, Arkansas, died August 22, 2011 at the Haysville Healthcare Center in Haysville, Kansas. She was born July 9, 1923 at Augusta, Kansas, the daughter of Clinton Fisk and Fanny Margaret Stroud Ham. She was a homemaker and a member of the Valley Center Church of Christ. She was the widow of George Nulph, whom she married on March 2, 1944 and who preceded her in death on April 14, 2003. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Wayne Nulph, her parents, three brothers, Keith Ham, Chester Ham and Gerald Ham, two sisters, Arla McLoud and Geraldine Hatfield and one grandson, Lendall Wayne "Butch" Nulph. She loved quilting, flower gardening, reading and playing canasta.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald "Herb" and Joyce Nulph of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Steve McGuire of Lawton, Oklahoma and Gaye and Randy Reusser of Valley Center, Kansas; four grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, Chad and Katy Nulph of Columbia, Missouri, Grant McGuire and Clint McGuire, both of Lawton, Oklahoma, David and Leandra Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Jamie McGuire of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Georgie and Greg Simpson of Valley Center, Kansas; six great-grandchildren, Katy McGuire of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Abbie Simpson and Tatum Simpson of Valley Center, Kansas, Thais Thompson and Penelope Thompson, both of Kansas City, Missouri and Aurora Nulph of Columbia, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, August 25, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Larry Combs, Minister Officiating. Interment will be in the Marshall Cemetery at Forum, Arkansas under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Hatfield, Kenny Hatfield, Buck Ham, Clint Ham, Trent Gabbard and Ron Stroud.
