Frances Lubinski, age 92, of south Toledo, died Wednesday, January 4, 2009, at the Swan Creek Retirement Community. Frances was born on July 11, 1916 in Toledo Ohio to John and Teofila Mierzejewski. She was a production worker for the Champion Spark Plug Company where she retired from. She also worked in several dress shops in the Toledo area as a seamstress and for the former Toledo Glove Company. Frances was a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Maumee Ohio where she volunteered at their annual festival and rummage sales. She and her husband, Joseph celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there in 1986. He preceded her in death in 1991. A favorite past time was dancing with her husband, Joe. She enjoyed collecting dolls and sewing doll clothes and clothing for her children and grandchildren. Each of her family members cherish the Afghans she hand crochet for them over the years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Carol Edgeworth, Joan (James) Ragan, both of Toledo, Ohio, Donna Ryan of Tempe, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and her sister, Virginia (Donald) Jezak. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd. on Sunday February 8th from 2-8 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the mortuary on Monday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m. followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Maumee, Ohio. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may take the form of a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to St. Joseph's Church in Maumee. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Swan Creek Assisted Living for always caring for her with love and kindness.
