A native of Transylvania County, Mr. Lookabill was the son of the late Glynn M. and Mary Johnson Lookabill. Mr. Lookabill was an Army veteran. He was a truck driver for Youngblood Trucking and ABF, from which he retired in 1998. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 61 and held church membership at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ballard Lookabill; a son, Glynn Lookabill and his wife, Pam of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Charlene Powers and her husband, George of Cumming, GA; two granddaughters, Keri and Stacy Powers; a sister, Evalynn Bowles and her husband, Jim of Deland, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum
