John Engle Passes Away - John Engle, 1108 Sheridan Street, passed away quite suddenly at 1:45 this afternoon. Mr. Engle had been in comparatively good health and was working at the carpenter trade. The news of his sudden death comes as a great shock to his many friends. A more complete obituary will appear tomorrow.

Funeral services for John Engle
The funeral services over the remains of John Engle, who was called by death on Wednesday, will be held from the Hoover Undertaking Parlor, on Main Street, on Friday Morning at 10 O'clock. Interment will be made in Sunnyslope cemetery. Mr. Engle was a member of the Narragansett Tribe of Redmen. The members of this order will attend the funeral in a body and will conduct the services prescribed by the ritual of the order at the grave. The funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend I. A. Engle, pastor of the First M. E. Church.
His first wife was Mary A. Patterson - married in Girard, Kansas on September 12, 1886. And his daughter Bertha Pearl Engle. Ffg# 138326297
second wife was Ida M. Cunningham married in Neosho, Kansas on November 23, 1893
He had a cousin named John Hovis Engle from Penn. See memorial #83385916.
