JUNIOR CLOVIS BAILEY
JUNIOR CLOVIS BAILEY, 82, of Salt Rock, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. David Cardwell and Rev. Carlos Gibson. Burial will be in the Bailey Family Cemetery, Salt Rock.
He was born January 26, 1927, in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Otho and Lessie Baker Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Madeline Lawhon Bailey; three children, Brenda, Sammy and Connie Bailey; five sisters and one brother.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army. He was retired from G.S.A. Motor Pool of Huntington and was a member of Upper Smith Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by four sons, Donivon (Debbie), Johnny (Dreama), Mark (Mae) and Thomas (Kim) Bailey; four daughters, Kathy (Tim) Chaffin, Mary (Mike) Ray, Carolyn (Timmy) Beckelheimer and Debbie (Paul) Gram; one sister, Evelyn Clonch; one son-in-law, Robert Hull; one brother-in-law, Rev. Carlos Gibson; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
