a step sister, Rebecca Goff of Ice's Run, Fairmont; nephew, Matthew Harris;
niece, Amanda Harris;
two cousins, James Ronald Batson of Metz and Ronald Aubrey Batson of Worthington.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Oscar and Martha Olive Batson.
John was disabled all of his life but enjoyed everyday. He attended various schools throughout the years. He enjoyed shopping and dining out with his father. He had a passion for the local fire departments where he lived. He volunteered at Green Valley, Kenova, and Rome Township (Ohio) Volunteer Fire Departments. He loved playing basketball and had many friends that he enjoyed spending time with. Cremation will be the final disposition. Interment at the Elizabeth Mason Cemetery at Joetown, Mannington, WV beside of his mother.
