Herman Dave Abrahams, 84, of Belleville, IL, born March 13, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at St. Paul's Home, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Abrahams was the vice president of St. Louis Terminal Warehouse Company in St. Louis, MO. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Juanita Mae, nee Setzer, Abrahams, whom he married on August 9, 1947, and who died August 8, 1998; his father, Herman Thomas; and his mother, Marie Catherine, nee Wood, Carlson.
Surviving are two sons, Ken (Linda) Abrahams of Shiloh, IL,
and Randy (Kathy) Abrahams of Fennville, MI;
eight grandchildren, Ashley Hoyle,
Brian Abrahams,
Steve Abrahams,
Jamie Jordan,
Rob Abrahams,
Greg Abrahams,
Troy Abrahams,
and Jan Abrahams;
two great-grandchildren, Ben Abrahams,
and Daniel Abrahams;
one brother, Thomas Abrahams of Banning, CA;
and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Baillie of New Baltimore, MI.
