DARROL W. MICKLE, 80, retired self-employed draftsman of Blountsville, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Plantation Manor Nursing Home in McCalla.

Mr. Mickle was son of the late George and Samantha Whaley Mickle. Predeceasing him besides his parents were daughters Rhonda Kay Mickle and Anita Marie Birkhimer; grandchildren Bradley Davis Franklin and Brooke Nicole Franklin; and sisters Opal Denson and Eunice Daniel.

Surviving are daughters Diane (Paul) Key, Blountsville, Darlene ( Jack) Franklin, McCalla, and Rebecca (Donnie) Englebert, Green Pond; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Jerri (Harold) Bailey, Hoover, and Logene Womack, Pinson.

David Denson conducted graveside rites Aug. 10 at Mount Zion Nazarene Cemetery at Blountsville. Pallbearers were Wesley Key, Erik Birkhimer, Chris Hudson, Scott Hudson, Tim Hines, and Chuck Brewer.
