He was born March 7, 1854, in Kentucky. He had lived in Ray County on one farm 77 years. He was married to Susie Brown.
To this union three sons and two daughters were born who survive him, also eighteen grandchildren. The sons are Frank Bailey, of Kansas City, and Elzie and William, of Camden. The daughters, Mrs. May Thomas, of Kansas City, and Mrs. Martha Mell, of Sapulpa, Okla.
Mr. Bailey was a member of the Church of God. He had farmed all his life.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Camden Baptist church, Rev. W. E. Howard officiating. Burial at South Point Cemetery. Joiner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
