Floyd Griffin funeral Sunday
Funeral services for Floyd "Dutch" Griffin, 84, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Pastor Jesse P. Walker Jr. officiating.
Mr. Griffin died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in Ozark Nursing Center. He was born Feb. 27, 1900, in Elijah, the son of the late William M. and Matilda Jane Duncan Griffin.
He was married in 1923 to Alta Nemsgren. In 1941 he was married to Catherine Johnson and in 1972 he was married to Bertie Ellison. Mr. Griffin was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and he was a retired carpenter and stone mason.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Griffin, West Plains; seven children, Geneva Harden and Leslie Griffin, West Plains, Bill Griffin, Springfield, Hazel Pownah, Bellview, Wash., Paul Richard Griffin, Pauls Valley, Okla., Leonard Griffin, Crestwood, and Ella June Ettestad, Woodburn, Ore.; one brother, Johnny Griffin, Elijah; one sister, Wilma Cobb, West Plains; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, one son, Leon Griffin, five brothers and three sisters.
Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
