OBITUARY :
MRS. BONNIE JEAN WILLARD, 81, of Foxville, Md., went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 25, 2011. She was the wife of Robert Lee Willard; they recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Aug. 21, 2011.

Born Aug. 8, 1930, in Garfield, Md., she was a daughter of the late James and Ruth (Wolfe) Harne.

After graduating from Middletown High School, she was employed in the sewing, food and catering industries. She was retired from the Frederick County Public Schools. Mrs. Willard was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God, Smithsburg, Md., where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the church radio program. She was also active with the Women's Ministries of the church. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family and especially enjoyed taking care of her family.

Surviving is a son, Dennis Willard and wife, Peggy, of Foxville; and a special daughter, Gina Lauth and husband, Martin, of Lake Mary, Fla.; two grandsons, Dennis Willard Jr. and wife, Lynn, of Foxville and Ryan Lauth of Miami, Fla.; three granddaughters, Melissa Donnelly and husband, Kevin, of Thurmont, Md., Kristin Noe and husband, Kevin, of Miami, and Amy Adrian and husband, Mark, of Bremerton, Wash.; three great-grandsons, Zachary and Logan Willard of Foxville, and Matin Donnelly of Thurmont; and one great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Donnelly of Thurmont. She is also survived by two sisters, Marguerite Pecenco and Miriam Clark and husband, George, both of Hagerstown, Md.; and a brother, Delton Harne and wife, Mildred, of Cedartown, Ga.; godchild, Eric Hurley; dear friends, Lawrence and Carolyn Lewis of Wolfsville; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Jean Higgins; a sister, Doris Wiles; and a brother, Meredith Harne.

The pallbearers will be Zachary Willard, Ora Hays Sr., Bryan Wiles, Bobby Wiles, Jeff Harp, Kelly Weagley and honorary pallbearer, Logan Willard.

Mrs. Willard is at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Mount Pleasant Church of God, 24107 Foxville Road, Smithsburg, with Bishops Paul Harne and Jim Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Garfield United Methodist Church cemetery at 13628 Stottlemyer Road, Smithsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Mount Pleasant Church of God Land Fund or to Hospice of Frederick County, 516 Trail Ave. Frederick, MD 21702.
