SILOAM SPRINGS — Floyd Wayne Bearden, 65, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 25, 2011, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 27, 1945, in Bastrop, La., to Lucien and Juanita Jackson Bearden.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 1963-80. He worked at Cintas Corp. as a mechanic until retiring in 2001.
Survivors include two sons, James Bearden of Springfield, Mo., and John Bearden and wife Shonda of Siloam Springs; a daughter, Julie Shapiro of Siloam Springs; five stepsons, Stanley Allen and wife Jan of Jay, Okla., L. Thomas Allen and wife Dorothy of Harrison, Jeffrey Allen of Rogers, Randall Allen and wife Pam of Rocky Face, Ga., and Jack Allen and wife Rhonda of Asheville, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Carrie Sorbet and husband Robert of Houston; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wasson Memorial Chapel. Burial will be Monday at Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Upon moving to Siloam Springs in 1995, he worked at Cintas Corporation as a mechanic until retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Blaise Winn; and one daughter, Jodie Roy.
