Alpha "Fay" Turner Chandler nee Cassidy was born on Friday, April 7, 1939 in the Pyatt Holler area of Cherryville, MO to Lloyd William Cassidy and Mary Lou "Iza" Talent. Fay married Jessie Louie William Turner on July 4, 1953 in Steelville, MO, and to this union a son was born and a step-daughter gained. Jessie passed away in 1977. On May 4, 1986 Fay married Don Radis Chandler in Steelville, MO and to this union two stepdaughters were gained. Don passed away in 2007. Fay moved from St. Louis to the Cherryville area in 1971. She accepted the Lord at a young age and attended Cherryville Assembly of God Church. Fay worked for Brown Shoe Factory in Steelville, MO for a 25 years. She volunteered at Golden Echoes Resale Store from 2007 to the present. She enjoyed working with her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. Fay passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd William Cassidy and Mary Lou "Iza" Talent, son Lloyd Eugene "Gene" Turner, brother Jimmy Cassidy, sister Doris Snyder, brother Jimmy Cassidy, grandson Richie White Jr.; brother-in-laws Montie Chandler, Bill Caulder; sisters-in-law Doris Snyder, Rosie (Lawrence) Strickland, Betty (Don) Coplin, Bertha Carrick, Geraldine (Eugene) Dicus, Lorrie (Frank) Jelinek, and Donna Fay Wilhite.

Fay is survived by her daughter-in-law Sue Turner of Cherryville, MO; three step daughters Donna Ray (and David) Hanks of Steelville, MO, Lisa Renee (and Heath) Wells of Maxwell, Iowa, and Louise Greenlee of Sullivan, MO; five grandchildren Donald Eugene Turner (and significant other Betsy Young), Susan Fay Turner (and significant other Joe Parrett), Heather White of Columbia, MO (and significant other Andrew Fuller), David "D.J." Hanks and Daniel Hanks of Steelville, MO; sister Carol Ann (and Harry) Evans of House Springs; brothers Lloyd William Jr. (and Gay) Cassidy, Billy Ray Cassidy, Perry Gene Cassidy, and Terry Lee Cassidy all of Steelville, MO; sister-in-law Sandra Cassidy of Cuba, MO; brothers-in-law Glenn Snyder of Arcadia, MO, Earnest Holland of Cuba, MO, and Fred Carrick of Steelville, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 30 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO and Funeral Service following at 1:00 PM with Rev. Spencer R. Hutson officiating. Burial will be at Keysville Cemetery, Steelville, MO. Memorials are suggested to Golden Echoes Meals on Wheels. All arrangements are under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
