Son of Zenas Preston & Elizabeth Stanton. Married Martha Ann Cooley 21 May 1846 in La Porte Co. Married Isabelle Smith 24 Jan 1900 in La Porte Co after Martha Ann died 1896. Buried together with first wife Martha Ann Cooley.

Enoch's family moved from Union County Indiana to La Porte County by 1840, where Enoch remained for the rest of his life. Enoch helped to build Lambs Chapel Church, for which the cemetery is named.
