Obit: Paul Miller Streetman, born October 14, 1930 in Greensburg, KS to Charles Reveir and Jennie Miller Streetman, passed away August 20, 2011, in Glen Ellyn, IL with his family at his side.
As a young man, Paul graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX, attended Arlington State College, graduated from Texas A&M University, and reported to work at General Electric Co., in Syracuse, NY. Just after the Korean War, Paul entered the Army where he fulfilled his duties in Texas, Arizona, and California. Returning to General Electric, Paul worked in New York, Cincinnati, and Chicago. Paul was a pioneer in several new industries, working with GE customers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Paul always had a unique project to work on, usually based on his love of classical music. He found the time to reconstruct a real pipe organ, to build an electronic organ, and to build a large collection of music.
In addition to raising two sons, Paul and his wife Marcia, the former Marcia McGeachie of Rockford, IL, traveled extensively, including much of Central America, Europe, South America, and the U.S.
Paul is survived by his wife Marcia, sons Charles of Glen Ellyn, IL and Scott of Boulder, CO, and sisters Beth Neal of Albuquerque, NM, and Hope Garvin of Mansfield, TX.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joy Spann of Waxahachie, TX.
A private interment was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
