MENTOR-ON-THE-LAKE — Services for Harriet E. (Scott) Johnson, age 83, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio, a homemaker, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 31st, at DAVIS-BABCOCK FUNERAL HOME, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Johnson passed away Friday, August 26, 2011. Born Feb. 21, 1928, in Mentor, she had lived in Mentor-on-the-Lake for the past 55 years.
She was a loving wife, mom and artist who loved to paint, decorate cakes and teach cake decorating. In 1964, she won an award at the state level for wedding cake decorating, and also won numerous awards at the local level for her artwork and cake decorating.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert S. Johnson, whom she married June 24, 1950...Her parents, Avery and Maude (Davis) Scott and brother, Russell Scott are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 30th, at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Kelly Kirby, Rector of Saint Andrew Episcopal Church in Kirtland Hills, will officiate at the Service. Final resting place will be in Perry Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Cleveland Area Chapter, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, Ohio 44194-4924.
