!OBITUARY: JESSE LEE SCHUTTINGA
Jesse Lee Schuttinga, D.C., died on May 17 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Emilie, nee Chupich, and adoring father to Marilee (Mark) Wall, Starr (Mark) Carlson, Teresa (David) Johnson, Stephen (Suzanne) Schuttinga, James Harter, and David (Susan) Harter. He was the proud grandfather to Danielle, Drew, Emma, and Jake; and loving brother to Joan (Paul) Van Wyk. Lee was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn, nee Taylor; his parents Marseilles and Jennie; and three brothers, Gerald (Maxine), Art (Norma), and Max (Mary). Lee served in the army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic and practiced in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn for most of his career. He was a longtime member of the West Towns Barbershop Chorus. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his integrity, and his passion for helping people improve their health.
