Johnnie Cecil Lott

Johnnie Cecil Lott, 88, of McCarley, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Regency Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, at National Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Jefferson.

Cecil was born on April 28, 1923, in Carroll County to the late Johnnie Curtis and Lula Nail Lott. He was a farmer and a member of Liberty Baptist Church but attended North Carrollton Baptist Church.

Mr. Lott was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Doris Earline Beck Lott; three sisters, Ruth Lott McCalop, Pauline Lott Bankston, Winnie Pearl Donald; and one brother, Chester Curtis Lott.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Stone Lott of Atwood Personal Care Home in Philadelphia, Miss.; three daughters, Rita Lott DeLoach of McCarley, Linda Lott Douglas of Hattiesburg, and Cathy Doris Lott Grantham of Madison; nine grandchildren, Jamie DeLoach Butts, Christy Brower, Cecil Ann Blake, Amy Douglas, Amanda Clark, Hunter Douglas, Myles Lott Grantham, Jonathan Tyler Grantham, Benjamin Kyle Grantham; eight great-grandchildren, Dallas Elizabeth Butts, McKenzie Butts, Maggie Ann Butts, Mollie Kate Blake, John Kenneth Brower, Christen Murphee, Seth Clark, and Autumn Clark; and one great-great-grandchild, Hadley Murphee.

National Funeral Home is in charge.
