Anna passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at her residence.
Anna was born on Aug. 23, 1952, in Sulphur Springs the daughter of Arva and Zodie Mae (Young) Askew.
She was married to Arvin Glenn Turner Sr. She married Charles Means in September of 2001 in Sulphur Springs. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Anna at one time worked for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, where she was a certified nurse's aide for over 15 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of MLK Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Arvin Glenn Turner Jr. of Como and Isaac Turner of Longview; two daughters, Tangela Dowell and husband, George, of Lorain, Ohio, and Courtney Turner Jones and husband, Phillip, of Sulphur Springs; one brother, Ronny Askew and wife, Ernestine, of Houston; and three grandchildren, Aurora Turner, Korllin McDowell and Kyler Turner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, Charles and Arva Askew.
