Stanley Ables was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on June 11, 1914 to Wilbur Elmo Ables and Mary Leona Waterman Ables.
Stanley moved way out west to Arizona in the 1930s because he disliked the weather back east. After retirement, he worked with the Shriners ferrying children back and forth to the airport, train station, hotels or doctor's offices to obtain treatment. Stanley and his wife traveled extensively after retirement to visit relatives and fish all over the United States.
