The following is an excerpt from "An American Story--The Cutler Family" and gives context to who moved from Killingly, CT to Windsor, VT and when:

"On October 13, 1778 Royal (Cutler) was born at Windsor. The next year Charles Leavens (Lurana's brother) moved to Windsor, bringing his family, Lurana's mother, and the widow and children of Darius Leavens who had died at Killingly."

Lurana's mother: Allice Leavens
widow of Darius Leavens: Martha Fairbanks (-12 Mar 1783)
children of Darius Leavens and Martha Fairbanks:
- Allice Leavens (28 Apr 1763-) m Noah Bliss on 16 June 1785 in Brimfield MA
- Olive Leavens (7 Jan 1765-) m Daniel Howe Jr on 16 Mar 1793 at Mansfield CT

- Rufus Leavens (22 Apr 1769-23 Mar 1853) m1 Adah Lee, m2 Hannah Clark

- Thurlow/Thorlow Leavens (18 Feb 1774-)
- Abel Leavens (22 Aug 1776-)

Note: Philo Leavens indicates that Alice married Rufus Fairbanks but cemetery headstones and vital records indicate that Alice married Noah Bliss on 16 June 1785 in Brimfield MA. He also indicates that Olive married Noah Bliss but vital records show that she married Daniel Howe Jr. and, in fact, he notes this marriage on page 44 but attributes Olive to a different branch (James Leavens and Esther Curtice).
