PEORIA HEIGHTS--Clara Ann Jett, 98, formerly of 702 E. Marietta, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1996, at Riverview Care Center in East Peoria, IL.
Born Feb. 25, 1898, in Bond County to Lewis and Lydia Ann Burkholder Crutchley, she married Harry C. Jett on Jan. 28, 1922, in Mulberry Grove. He died May 10, 1974, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelda June Jett, four sisters and three brothers.
Surviving is one daughter, Norma J. Berger of Peoria Heights.
She was a dishwasher for the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research for 20 years, retiring in 1965. She was a member of Peoria Heights Congregational Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Allan Dempsey will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to her church.
