A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodstock United Methodist Church by Rev. David Rash. Burial will be in the West End Cemetery, St. Matthews, South Carolina.
Mrs. Henderson was born October 11, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Everett C. Lee and Mattie Kathleen Brewer Lee.
She retired from the federal government as an employee for the Federal Trade Commission and the Personal Secretary for Sigrid Anderson of South Dakota. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Woodstock United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by two sons, Timothy Lee Henderson of Deland, Florida, and Michael Gregory Henderson of Front Royal, Virginia; a daughter, Neysa Barbara Wilfong of Scottsville, Virginia; a sister, Frances Sims of Helena, Alabama; a brother, John C. Lee of Adamsville, Alabama; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
