Marion was married before he was married to my grandmother Carrie. I suspect her name was Lula Hutto (1910 Emanuel County census lists Marion W. Moseley, Lula H. Moseley, a boarder named Wilson Waters, and mother-in-law Rebecca Hutto. In 1920 only Marion and Rebecca are shown in the same household. Family legend claims Marion caught his first wife fooling around and he told them both to leave and never come back. Apparently they complied.), but I haven't found any further evidence to support my theory.
-------------------------------------------------------
Marion and Carrie had six children: Marion Jr., who died of colitis at eighteen months of age, Ethel Eilene, Imogene (called Jeanne), Willene, Earl Dean (called Pete), and Billy, my father.
--------------------------------------------------------
His mother was Emily E. Moseley. She and Perry were second cousins, sharing William Brantley Moseley, Sr. as great-grandfather, and Sarah Phillips Moseley as a great-grandmother.
