He was born in Muncie to Haze and Lula Gagle Morris. He attended school in Fort Recovery, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II in the Mediterranean and the Pacific. He then moved to Muncie in 1943 where he was employed with Warner Gear (now BorgWarner) for 30 years, then with Ross Supermarkets for 20 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Louise Morris; two daughters, Linda Dailey (husband-John) and Bobbie Frame; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother, two sisters, and one granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
