MUNCIE--Alice A. Cart, 87, died Saturday afternoon at her home.
Born in Farmland, the daughter of Frank and Emma Belle Keagy Bales, she attended and graduated from Parker High School. Alice retired in 1973, having worked for Ball Brothers Corp. Eaton Furniture Factory and Indiana Glass.
She attended Center Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Daleville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Eaton.
Surviving are her daughter, Carleeta; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Orville R. Cart, who died in 2000.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. today in the Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Her family will receive friends a half hour before services today. An Eastern Star memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
