Daniel Pitts Dennis was the son of James P Dennis and Parnina Gunnels. He was born Nov 11, 1836, Livingston, Overton Co., TN. H married Katherine "Celia" Payne in Overton County, TN sometime in 1859. They had one child William Dennis born in 1840. it is unknown when and where Katherine died but Daniel married a second time in 1874 to Evaline Collins of Farmes Branch, TX. No issue from the 2nd marriage. Daniel died Jan 13, 1887 Farmers Branch TX
