Paul Fredrick Charnetzli Sr., age 71, of Valley City, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1982.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Victor Saude officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Earl Trader, LeRoy Trader, Stuart Herzberg, Curran Berge, Adrain Clancy and Oscar Blumer. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Paul Charnetzki was born Nov. 5, 1911, at Donnybrook, N. D., the son of Leo and Alma Charnetxki. He was educated and raised to manhood at Donnybrook and then moved to Alice, N.D.
On Dec. 20, 1934, he married Genova Erickson at Moorhead, Mn. The couple farmed in the Valley City area their entire lives and also operated a dairy farm for many years.
Mr. Charnetzki was a member of the North Dakota Milk Producers.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael and Donald, both of valley City; two brothers, Claudie and Arvid, both of Donnybrook; four sisters, Agnes Johnson of Stanley; Martha Whillock of Coulee, Ida Johnson of Minot and Myrtle Schwede of Donnybrook; 18 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
