Elroy Klessig, age 75, a town of Centerville resident, died Saturday June 10, 1995 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm Tuesday June 13, 1995, at St Paul Lutheran Church Manitowoc, Rev Robert Simensen will officiate. Private burial rites will be held Wednesday morning, June 14, 1995 at Saxon cemetery, town of Centerville.
He was born Sept. 17, 1919 in the town of Centerville son of the late Herbert and Alma Zeddies Klessig. He married Helen Lutze, May 6, 1939. The couple resided on the Klessig homestead where they were engaged in farming until retirement in 179. Mrs Klessig died July 16, 1991. Elroy was presently employed by the Newton Meat Market where he worked for many years. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law Richard and Bonnie Klessig, town of Centerville; four grandchildren, Linda (Terry) Meyer, rural Kiel, Keith, Mark, Scott, all at home, one great grandson Chad Meyer one sister and brother in law Louise and Roland Diefenthaler, Manitowoc, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one grandson, one granddaughter and a great grandson.
