RECENT DEATHS
MAHEW – Services for L.G. Mayhew, 72 years old, of Garber, were conducted Tuesday afternoon with the Anderson Funeral home in charge. Rev. W.H. Haley, pastor of the Garber Baptist church officiating, the burial was in the Garber cemetery.

Mayhew died shortly after he walked into the side of a car driven by William Hugh Cinnamon, 52, also of Garber, Saturday night. The accident occurred on the state highway 15, two blocks north of the Garber athletic field.

Mayhew is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. George Harmon of Garber, Mrs. Iva Wright of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hill of Chicago, and Mrs. Lizzie Garton of Booker, Texas, and two brothers, John of Topeka, Kans., and Jim of Ponca City.

GARBER
Funeral services for Mr. L.G. Mayhew, who was accidently killed by stepping directly in front of a car driven by Mr. Hugh Cinnamon last Saturday evening, were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Garber Christian Church with Rev. A.J. Hoyley officiating. Choir from the Baptist church rendered several very appropriate songs with Rev. W.R. King leader. The Anderson Funeral Home in charge with burial in Garber cemetery.
