Name is often spelled Weible in older records, husband of Elizabeth "Betsey" Thompson, and with her he had at least the following children: Isabella Wible Geisler (b. 1832, married George Geisler), James Thompson Wible (b. May 1833), Mary S. Wible Smithers (b. 1836, married Peter Smithers), Elizabeth Wible Cookson (b. 1838, married Joseph K. Cookson), Margaret Jane Wible Patton (b. 1841, married Philip Patton), Andrew Smith Wible (b. Dec 27, 1843) and Harriet Agnes Wible (b. Sep 1850, never married). After Betsey died George married Martha W. Hood, before 1860, they had no children. George's will , written 24 Aug 1876, refers to all of these mentioned children except Isabella, who may have passed away by then, he does, however, mention two of her three sons, George W. Geisler and James Geisler.

In July, 1840 the first communion service was held in this church and 30 people were admitted into membership. Sep 18, 1841, the second communion service was held in this church and George was one of 28 additional people admitted into membership at that service.
On April 25, 1857, George was ordained and installed, along with Thomas Gibson, as a ruling elder, in what was only the third group of elders selected to serve in this church.

Inscription

Husband. In the 74th year of his age.
A few short years of evil past
We reach the happy shore
Where death divided friend at last
Shall meet to part no more
