Funeral for Jacqueline "Jackie" J. Fulham, a longtime resident of McMInnville, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. Pastor Jeff Clabaugh will officiate.
Mrs. Fulham died in her home Jan. 12, 2004, at the age of 78. Interment will be in Portland Memorial Cemetery.
She was born in Lyons on Oct. 4, 1925, daughter of William and Veneta G. Lewis Bidwell. She grew up in the St. Johns area of Portland and graduated from Roosevelt High School there. She graduated from the cadet nursing program at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, in 1947, receiving her registered nurse certification.
She and Robert "Bob" Fulham met at a skating rink in Portland and they kept in touch by letter while he was in the service in Europe from 1943-46. They married April 20, 1947, in McMinnville, where she was employed as an office nurse and blood analysis technician for 10 years in the McMinnville Clinic for Drs. Leo G. Skelley and Kenneth VanZyl. She later worked as an office nurse for Drs. Leonard Hanson and Conrad Rissberger.
Mrs. Fulham loved to travel and was a serious collector of cookbooks and miniature spoons while on trips to Europe and the Orient. She belonged to a bowling league and enjoyed camping and fishing trips with her family. She also had enjoyed helping her husband with his photography hobby, keeping his photo albums and motion picture and video collections up to date.
She also enjoyed square dancing and cake decorating. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2507 and she was a serious student of the Bible, attending many classes over the years. She had been a member of the McMinnville First Christian Church since 1966,
Survivors include here husband of McMinnville; three sons, Ronald Fulham of Newberg, James Fulham of Mission Hills, Calif., and Richard Fulham of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
