Harry (Sodie) L ADDIS, 85 of Vanderbilt, died Thursday morning at the Golden Age Nursing Home, Brownsville.
He was born July 26, 1884, in Vanderbilt, a son of the late Samuel and Jennie JOHNSON ADDIS. He was a retired conductor on the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, retiring in 1947. He was active in Democratic politics. He was a member of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church of Vanderbilt, and a retired member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen No 632 of Dawson.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Frances CRAYTON ADDIS; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Frank (Lulu) PATTERSON and Mrs Harry (Bess) SNYDER of Vanderbilt, and Mrs William (Esther) KNIGHT of Masontown, and four brothers, Emmett, Howard and J Wade of Vanderbilt and William of Connellsville. A daughter, Mrs Mildred LIVENGOOD, died in 1966.
