The funeral of James S. Edmunds, who died suddenly in Warsaw, November 5th, was held from the home of Judge and mrs. George Edmunds, november 9th. Judge C.J. Scofield officiating. the choir of St. Cyprian's Church had charge of the music. Burial was in Moss Ridge.
A citizen of Carthage since boyhood he had a large circle of friends who regretted his untimely passing. He was the soul of generousity and foremost in charitable impulses, was interested in the social life of the town and a leading worker in amatuer dramatic organizations which flourished here. He was the only son in the family and his passing was a great grief to his aged father and his sisters, Mrs. A.N. Cherrill and Mrs. T.J. Scofield.
