William Robert "Rob" Hoellein, 40, of Rapid City, SD died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Northville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 9-10:30 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home. Reverend Jon Damaska will officiate. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Rob was born May 31, 1971 in Aberdeen, SD to William and Barbara (Bau) Hoellein. He graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City. He drove over-the-road truck for United Van Lines until his death.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his dogs: Trevor and Buddy. He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers football fan and enjoyed showing his support by wearing Tampa Bay jackets, caps and more. He also enjoyed snowmobiling on his Polaris snowmobile on the trail system in the Black Hills, hunting and collecting various items.

Rob is survived by his mother Barbara Bau of Rapid City; his father William (Esther) Hoellein of Hosmer; his brother Marty (Amy) Hoellein of Rapid City and his paternal grandmother Rose Hoellein of Aberdeen.

He was preceded in death by his sister Audrey.
