Survivors include: one son, Phillip Earl Carnes of Taylors, S.C.; three daughters, Beverly Jean Thomas of Chulavista, Calif., Sandra Charlene Elmore of Clover, S.C., and Addie Lona Hegwood of Russell Springs; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Isabelle Bernard of Russell Springs, and one brother, Clifford Carnes of Campbellsville.
Funeral services were Saturday, August, 11, 2001, at the Chapel of the Rippetoe Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Interment in Carnes Family Cemetery.
