Death of Mrs. John Steel Jemison.

Relatives here have received the sad news of the death of Mrs. John S. Jemison. She died at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, at 10 o'clock last Monday morning. Interment took place today at Birmingham where she had lived for some years. Mrs. Jemison is survived by three daughters - Mrs. Howard B. Holmes of Barnesville, Ga; Mrs. Hoskins of Fort Barancas, Fla.; and Miss Will Jemison of Birmingham. Four sons - Dr. Bryce Jemison of Macon, Ga.; Lieut. Kell Jemison of Gordon Institute, Brownsville (Barnesville) Ga.; Richard A. Jemison of LaFayette; and Allen Jemison of Birmingham.

Mrs. Jemison not only leaves a large circle of friends in Birmingham to mourn her loss, but had many friends in LaFayette where she was born and reared. Before her marriage she was Miss Margaret Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Allen, one of the most prominent families in our community. Her death will bring sincere sorrow to many who knew her in the years gone by.
