Trenton, NC - Cecil E. Hardison Jr., 45, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2009, surrounded by his wife, brother and family at his home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Danny French officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
Cecil was a former employee of 24 years with Coastal Diesel in New Bern, where he was known as "Diesel Cecil".
He was an aspiring nurse. Cecil had completed all his college courses and was working on his clinicals to become a registered nurse. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and attended Agape Family Church in Trenton.
Cecil was an avid motorcyclist and had a magnetic personality and a true love of God & family.
A wonderful husband, dad, brother, uncle and friend, he inspired others and wished others would know God and be saved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Battle Hardison; father, Cecil E. Hardison and sister, Wanda Hardison Mack.
Survivors include his wife,; daughter,; brother, and his wife, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville and at other times at the home.
