He was born April 20, 1929 in South Bend, a son of Max & Daisey Darling (Workman) Snyder.
Lowell grew up on South Bend's far south side in the Gilmer Park area. In more recent years, he has lived at Karl King Apartments where he was very active with the residents and many activities. Lowell worked at Stoner's Restaurant and Wheel Works Restaurant for many years. He was also active with Logan Center, and First Brethren Church. He always enjoyed his birds as well.
Lowell is survived by his sister, Donna Marie Hall of Dayton, NV; his brother, James Snyder of Plymouth, IN; four nephews, Jay Snyder of South Bend, Joel Faulkner of California, Gale & Dennis Faulkner of Nevada, and two nieces, Rosie Heroy of Richmond, IN; and Bonnie Cantrell of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 AM Friday, Sept. 9, at First Brethren Church, 4909 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Rev. Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 So. Michigan St., and one hour prior to services at the Church on Friday.
