ROCK HILL - Mary Magdalene Royal Bonner, 90, of 2252 Mancke Drive, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at her home.

Widow of Emory Bonner Sr., she was born in Williamston, a daughter of the late George Calvin Royal Sr. and the late Mary Fizer Royal. She was a retired Gaffney High School teacher and member of Dunton United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Emory Bonner Jr. (Sharon) of Greenville; two daughters, Beverly Mayes (Calvin) of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Cheryl Miller of the home; three brothers, George Royal Jr. (Sylvia) of Washington, D.C., W.T. Royal (Rosemary) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Johnny Royal (Ruth) of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Jennie Saxon of Brunson, Helen Webster and Ruby Hunter, both of Urbana, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Dunton United Methodist Church with John Wesley Evans, Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr. and the Rev. Willie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2p.m. The procession will leave the home of Lydia Byers, 425 W. Baker Blvd., at 2:40 p.m.
