The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, November 10, 1970:
Mrs Betty Lou Dunnning Sanger, Oklahoma City clubwoman and civic worker, died Monday at the Presbyterian Hospital where she had been taken following a heart attack. She was 61 years old. Mrs Sanger, 2633 Pembroke Terrace, was the widow of Dr Fenton Almer Sanger, Oklahoma City physician and surgeon. Services will be at 2 pm Thursday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church chapel with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs Sanger, a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae, the Junior League, a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, member of Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, the Volunteer Association of Presbyterian Hospital, charter member of the French Heels Club, member of the Colonial Dames of America, and the Women's Committee of the Oklahoma City Symphony. Mrs attended Pine Manor College and the University of Oklahoma.

Survivors include three sons, Dr Fenton Monroney Sanger, 3616 NW 69; Charles Dunning Sanger, Norman; and Lee Coleman Sanger, of the home; two brothers, John M Dunning, 1203 Mulberry Lane; and Charles E Dunning, 902 NW 37; her mother, Mrs Charles M Dunning, 900 NW 37; and three grandchildren.

She was the oldest child of three born to Charles Mooar Dunning and Julia Walker Coleman. She had two step brothers.

She married Fenton Almer Sanger on 3 March 1938 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma. They had no children.
