Terry was the son of Rev. Ted and Shirley Wynes Pressley. He was born in Waynesville, North Carolina, and lived most of his life in Haywood, Buncombe, and Henderson counties where his father was a Church of God pastor. For much of his young life, Terry fought a brave battle against leukemia. He received his heavenly healing and went home to be with Jesus at the young age of 9.
