Mickey has lived in Muskegon (Glenside) for the past 43 years coming here from Anchorage, Alaska where she married Jay Willliam Achterhoff who was serving as a finance officer in the United States Army during World War II in Anchorage, Alaska. They were married June 12, 1942 and Jay's death was March 10, 1965 in Muskegon. Mickey was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church were all of her.
