He was the son of William Henry Farmer and Nettie (Stubbs) Farmer. He was born in Laurinburg, NC on Jan. 30, 1916.
He was united in marriage to Blanche Faith Stark on Oct. 6, 1946.
Ed was the father of five children: Peggy Ashley of Monroe, NC, William Edwin "Buddy" Farmer of Waxhaw, NC, Betty Lineberger of Mint Hill, NC, Pamela Reitz of Adrian, MO and Robin Thornton of Stockton, MO.
He was the grandfather of 16 and the great-grandfater of 14. He had four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Farmer; his mother, Nettie (Stubbs) Farmer; two sisters, Myrtle and Pauline; and three brothers, Tom, Paul and Wilson Farmer.
Strong in his faith and service to his Lord, Ed was an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He influenced many lives and helped bring many to the Lord. He was pastor of two branches, one in Prescott, AZ, and in Bagdad, AZ, while living in Phoeniz, AZ.
He had his doctor of therapy degree and had practices in Decatur, AL, Phoeniz, AZ, and Independence, MO.
Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Brumback Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pankey Cemetery, north of Stockton.
He was loved and will be missed by many friends and family members.
