Our clever widower friend, Mr. G. Brent Barnett, has done the sensible thing by getting married again. Wednesday at the residence of Mr. Joe Moore, he led to the altar Miss Belle Cockrell, a handsome young woman, considerably his junior and all the better for that. Eld. John Bell Gibson performed the ceremony and Mr. J. H. Vanhook and Miss Maggie Davis acted as attendants. Our best wishes are extended to the happy couple.

Mr. G. Brent Barnett, who had been ill for some months, died at his home near Hustonville yesterday morning, aged 60. Mr. Barnett was one of Lincoln counties substantial citizens, a clever man and an upright and honorable one, and the announcement of his death will cause sorrow wherever he is known. He is survived by two sons, Arthur and Winfrey Barnett, by his first wife, who was a Miss Menefee, and a wife, who was Miss Cochran, and several small children. He will be missed by them all, but especially will his loss be felt by the wife and little children, to whom he was devoted, and great sympathy is felt for them. The burial occured in Buffalo Cemetery this morning, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends.
