Joseph J. Simon, 79, of 6048 Glenridge Drive,
died of a heart attack at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday in Saint Elizabeth Hospital Medical
Center, where he was admitted December 11.
Mr. Simon was born September 8 1899 in Pitts-
burgh, PA, a son of John and Barbara (Mauer)
Simon, and came to Youngstown in 1916.
He retired in 1964 after 24 years of service
at the Wean United Engineering Company.
He was a member of St. Dominic Church.
He leaves many nieces and nephews, including
John E. Simon, with whom he made his home.
A brother, Adam, died in 1977.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the
church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
