DRAPER, Utah – Eloise Hansen Chandler Bell, 66, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 2, 2011 from breast cancer. Eloise grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. She married William Ellis Chandler, also from Pocatello, on August 22, 1964, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Bill and Eloise had five children together. Her husband, Bill, passed away January 13, 1978.

On May 17, 1979, Eloise married Wayne Delmar Bell, from Preston, Idaho in the Logan Temple. Together with Wayne's four sons, Wayne and Eloise raised their blended family of nine children. As the two families joined together, the word "step" was never a consideration. Eloise and Wayne moved to Draper, Utah in 1997, and shortly thereafter served an LDS mission to Alabama. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a compassionate and loving leader as she served in numerous organizations in the church including Relief Society President, Young Women's President and most recently as a Relief Society teacher.

Eloise's greatest source of joy was her family. She was an incredibly dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything and supported them in their endeavors. Her hobbies included going to garage sales and gardening. Her husband of 28 years, Wayne, passed on August 2, 2007.

Eloise is survived by her nine children, Mike (Teresa) Bell, Draper, Utah; Gary (Michele) Bell, Sandy, Utah; Craig (Susan) Bell, Rexburg, Idaho; Bill (Gini) Chandler, Austin, Texas; Lynnae (Marden) Jensen, Sandy, Utah; Greg (Valerie) Chandler, Bentonville, Arkansas; Alan (Amy) Bell, Sandy, Utah; Blake Chandler, Gilbert, Arizona; Amber (Larry) Keister, Mason, Ohio; 35 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her brother Devere Hansen. She was preceded in death by her two husbands William and Wayne, her parents, and her sister Myrla Vee.

The family would like to express their thanks to The Draper 15th Ward, VistaCare Hospice, and Dr. Ward and staff at The Huntsman Cancer Hospital for their care and many acts of love and service.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, Friday, September 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
