MARBLE ROCK, IOWA — Arthur A. Asmussen, 79, of 211 Railroad St., died Thursday (March 19, 1998) at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Marble Rock, with the Rev. John Albrecht of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Marble Rock officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, with a flag presentation by Stroud Gates Post 387 American Legion of Greene.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Arthur A. Asmussen was born on January 25, 1919, in Lawton.
Survivors include his good friend and companion, Marge Heft, of Marble Rock; a daughter, Janet Collister, of San Dimas, Calif.; one son, Jerry Asmussen, of Rochester, Minn.; six grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Engh, Dorothy McGuire, and Frances Lillie, all of Sioux City; and one brother, John Asmussen, of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers.
