"Mrs. Sarah Emaline Griffin, 81, died in Lufkin, Texas, Friday evening, following a long illness.
She was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and a former resident of Queen City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at the Primitive Baptist Church of Queen City, Texas at 2 p.m. today. Burial will be in Queen City cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose-Neath funeral home of Shreveport. The body will be at the home of George Thomas in Queen City until the hour of services.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by one son, Ruban Hemperley of Queen City; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Holden of Terrell, Texas, and Mrs. C.W. Greenley of Dallas, Texas; three stepsons, A.N. Brown of California, Ernest Griffin of Queen City, Texas and Arthur Griffin of Vivian; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Dollie English of Dallas, Texas; 15 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
