PRATT – Michael J. Lykins, age 43, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, KS. Michael was born May 26, 1968 at Moses Lake, WA to Dan and Judy (Becher) Lykins of Topeka, KS.

Michael graduated from Topeka West High School in 1986 then graduated from Coffeyville Community College. He attended K-State University where he played football. He coached a lot of youth in many sports in Pratt and was a former head football coach at Skyline High School. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt.

He is survived by a son Chase Lykins of Pratt, a daughter Lindsey Lykins of Pratt, parents Dan and Judy Lykins of Topeka, KS, two brothers Jeremy & Brendan Lykins of Topeka, a sister Danya (Steve) Wirtz of McKinleyville, CA, grandparents Tom and Jeri Becher of Topeka and three nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS. Vigil service will be Friday, September 9, 2011 at 6:00 p. m. at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Floyd McKinney presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt.

Memorials may be made to the Michael Lykins Skyline Scholarship Fund in care of the mortuary. Friends may leave condolences for the family at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
